This mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for the DYKDDDDK (FLAG®*) tag epitope.
Highlights:
?Epitope tags provide a method to localize gene products in a variety of cell types, study the topology of proteins and protein complexes, identify associated proteins, and characterize newly identified, low abundance or poorly immunogenic proteins when protein specific antibodies are not available.

Western Blot of the Ectodomain of a Human Cell Surface Protein
Antibody 2G11-C6-G9 (60 min, 1:2000 dilution from 1 mg/mL) was used with a goat anti-mouse-HRP conjugate secondary antibody (Bio-Rad; 30 min, 1:2000 dilution). The blot was visualized with 30 min exposure to TMP-stabilized HRP substrate (Promega). The ectodomain of this human cell surface proteion is part of a fusion protein where the FLAG®* epitope is imbedded between large domains.
