The alkynyl hydrazide reacts with reactive carbonyl compounds in biological samples, indicators of oxidative stress. The alkyne moiety allows the compound to be reacted with a fluorescent or biotin label via copper-catalyzed click chemistry for visualization and/or enrichment techniques.
