This mouse IgM monoclonal antibody was generated against carbohydrate and is specific for human Lacto-N-fucopentaose III (LNFPIII)/Lewis X or LNFPIII-neoglycoconjugates (NGC).
Highlights:
Lacto-N-fucopentaose III is an oligosaccharide found in human milk and shown to be involved in the development of the mucosal immune system. LNFPIII contains a Lewis X structure in the oligosaccharide. Lewis X also known as CD15 is an immunological significant molecule that can be expressed in glycoproteins, glycolipids and proteoglycans and has diagnostic relevance in many diseases and is a marker for pluripontent stem cells.
