This rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody was generated against human smooth muscle filamin purified from smooth muscle and is specific for human smooth muscle filamin, filamin A.
Highlights:
The smooth muscle filamin ( Filamin A) gene encodes an actin-binding protein that joins actin filaments and links actin filaments to membrane glycoproteins. Filamin A is involved in remodeling the cytoskeleton changing cell shape and aiding in migration. Filamin A interacts with integrins, transmembrane receptor complexes, and second messengers. Mutations in Filamin A result in periventricular nodular heterotopias (PVNH1, PVNH4), Melnick-Needles syndrome (MNS), otopalatodigital syndromes (OPD1, OPD2), frontometaphyseal dysplasia (FMD), and X-linked congenital idiopathic intestinal pseudoobstruction (CIIPX).
