This mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody was generated against seed mucilage/MeBSA and recognizes rhamnogalacturonan I (RG1), galactan and galactomannan.
Highlights:
Rhamnogalacturonans (RGs) are a family of related cell wall pectic polysaccharides that contain a repeating backbone of a-D-GalpA-(1,2)-a-L-Rhap-(1). Galactomannan is part of the cell wall of the mold, Aspergillus and is released during growth. They are polysaccharies made up of mannose backbone with galactose side groups. In clinical use, detection of galactomannan in blood is used to diagnose aspergillosis infections in people.
