This rabbit polyclonal antibody was generated against polyporphyrinogen oxidase (PPox)and recognizes mammalian, recombinant-source PPox.
Highlights:
Protoporphyrinogen oxidase is an enzyme that is encoded by the PPox gene in humans. It is an enzyme component of the mitochondrial heme biosynthesis complex essential to the formation of heme in mammals. Specifically it catalyzes the 6-electron oxidation of protoporphyrinogen IX to form protoporphyrin IX.
