Anti-Bacteriophage MS2 Coat Protein [3H4] Antibody

This mouse monoclonal antibody was generated against full length recombinant MS2 coat protein and is specific for bacteriophage MS2 coat protein.

Highlights:

  • Recognizes bacteriophage MS2 coat protein
  • Suitable for Western Blot applications

The bacteriophage MS2 is an icosahedral, positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus that infects the bacterium Escherichia coli and other members of the Enterobacteriaceae. MS2 is a member of a family of closely related bacterial viruses that includes bacteriophage f2, bacteriophage Qbeta, R17, and GA. The MS2 coat protein recognizes an encapsidation signal on the single stranded RNA genome resulting in sequence-specific packaging of genomes and repression of translation of the replicase.
