This mouse IgG1k monoclonal antibody was raised against GST fusion protein and recognizes human and mouse calcium and integrin binding protein 1 (CIB1)
Highlights:
Calcium and integrin binding protein 1 (CIB1) belongs to the calcium-binding protein family and has significant homology to calmodulin and calcineurin B. CIB1 may regulate various cellular processes by associating with proteins such as FAK and PAK1 which are known to regulate angiogenesis. It also may play a role in the regulation of numerous cellular processes, such as cell differentiation, cell division, cell proliferation, cell migration, thrombosis, angiogenesis, cardiac hypertrophy and apoptosis. CIB appers to be a novel Ca2+ binding protein that interacts with the integrin alphaIIb subunit cytoplasmic domain, but not to other integrin cytoplasmic domains. This protein is expressed in platelets and binds to heterodimeric integrin alphaIIb/beta3 (GPIIb/IIIa) as a potential intracellular regulatory molecule.
