This rabbit polyclonal antibody was generated against a peptide and recognizes human, mouse and rat cytochrome P450 2J subfamily enzymes including human CYP2J2
Highlights:
CYP2J2 is an enzyme that metabolizes arachidonic acid predominantly via NADPH-dependent olefin epoxidation to all four regioisomeric cis-epoxyeicosatrienoic acids. It is responsible for the epoxidation of endogenous cardiac arachidonic acid pools. CYP2J2 contains 3 different domains; a hydrophobic domain, an F-G loop primary membrane binding motif, and an N-terminal anchor domain. CYP2J2 has been shown to be overexpressed in a number of cancers and forced overexpression of CYP2J2 in human cancer cells lines accelerated proliferation and protected the cells against apopotosis.

Western Blot
CYP2Js expressed in Sf21 insect cells, lanes 1 to 7, and CYP2Cs expressed in E. Coli, lanes 8-10, were probed with anti-CYP2J2pep3 (1:2000). Proteins were visualized using a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG secondary antibody conjugated to HRP (Calbiochem cat # 401315, 1:3000) and a chemiluminescence detection system.
