This rat IgG monoclonal antibody was generated against the full length AIP1 bacterial fusion protein and recognizes mouse AIP1.
Actin interacting protein 1 (AIP1) acts as an actin cortical patch component, interacts with the actin depolymerizing factor cofilin, and is required to restrict cofilin localization to cortical patches. AIP1 has been shown to directly interact with caspase 11.
