W. Clay Brown, PhD
Dr. Brown is scientific director of the High-Throughput Protein laboratory in the Center for Structural Biology. The mission of his group is to provide support to life sciences researchers across the campus to identify constructs and conditions that lead to high yields of soluble protein expression in E. coli. He also concurrently pursues basic research into developing molecular biology tools such as alternative promoters, solubilizing fusion partners, and chemical lysis strategies.
