This rat IgG2a monoclonal antibody was generated against G1/link region of mouse nidogen and recognizes nidogen.
Highlights:
Nidogens, formerly known as entactins, are a family of sulfated monomeric glycoproteins located in the basal lamina. There are two types, nidogen-1 (NID1) and nidogen-2 (NID2). The basement membrane protein, nidogen-1, was previously shown to consist of three globular domains, G1 to G3, and two connecting segments. Nidogen-1 is a major mediator in the formation of ternary complexes with laminins, collagen IV, perlecan and fibulins. Nidogens have been shown to play a role in cardiac and lung development.
