This mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody was generated against E. histolytica Jacob (partial, amino acids 159-481) and recognizes E. histolytica and E. moshkovskii cyst wall-specific glycoprotein Jacob.
Highlights:
Cyst wall-specific glycoprotein Jacob antibody can be used to study Entamoeba histolytica (Eh) which causes amebic dysentery and liver abscess. The cyst wall of Eh is composes of chitin fibrils and three sets of chitin-binding lectins including Jacob.
