This rabbit polyclonal antibody was generated against a his-tagged fusion containing the last 43 kDa of the DNA polymerase subunit gamma-2, mitochondrial (POLG2) protein and recognizes human and mouse POLG2.
Highlights:
POLG2 also known as p55 encodes a 55 kDa protein that functions as an accessory subunit of the mitochondrial DNA polymerase gamma. It functions as a positivity factor by increasing the DNA binding affinity of the polymerase gamma complex. It has been show to stimulate the polymerase and exonuclease activities, and increases the processivity of the enzyme as well as bind to ss-DNA.
