This IgG2a rat monoclonal antibody was generated against the bacterial fusion protein (large subunit) and recognizes human caspase 7.
Caspase 7, an enzyme encoded by the CASP7 gene in humans, is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease family. Sequential activation of the caspases is critical for cell apoptosis; caspase 7 has been shown to be an executioner protein in this cascade.
