This IgG2a rat monoclonal antibody was generated against a full length bacterial fusion protein and recognizes human caspase 8.
Caspase 8, an enzyme encoded by the CASP8 gene, is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease family. Sequential activation of the caspases is critical for cell apoptosis. Caspase 8 acts upon caspases 3 and 7 following death receptor stimulation.
