This rat monoclonal antibody was generated against a full-length BH3-interacting domain death agonist (BID) bacterial fusion protein and is specific to human BID.
BID is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 protein family that acts as a direct activator of Bax and the caspase cascade. BID has also been demonstrated to have a role in p53-mediated apoptosis.
