This IgG2a mouse monoclonal antibody was generated against amino acids 436-450 of beta tubulin type III (β3-tubulin) and recognizes human, mouse, rat, and bovine β3-tubulin homologs.
Highlights:
Class III β-tubulin, a microtubule element of the tubulin family, is one of the seven β-tubulin isotypes identified in the human genome. It is almost exlusively found in neurons and in testis cells, and conditionally expressed in a number of other tissues when exposed to a toxic microenvironment attributed to hypoxia and poor nutrient supply. Tubulin antibodies are very useful immonological (reagent) tools in basic and applied cell and molecular biology.
