Anti-pp60src [GD11] Antibody

This IgG1 monoclonal antibody was generated against recombinant chicken pp60Src and recognizes human, mouse, rat, mink, and avian pp60Src.

Highlights:

  • Reacts with human, mouse, rat, mink, and avian pp60Src
  • May be useful for oncogenic studies
  • Suitable for Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation applications

Src kinase family is a family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases that includes eight members, with all of them having similar domain structure. Src is one such member, and this protein coding gene may play a role in the regulation of embryonic development and cell growth. The transforming protein of Rous sarcoma virus, pp60src, has an enzymatic activity of a protein kinase and the ability to phosphorylate tyrosine in protein substrates.(2) It encodes the viral src gene that attributes to oncogenesis by the avian sarcoma virus.(3)
