This H3K27me3 rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against a modified branched peptide and specifically recognizes histone H3 tri-methylated on lysine 27 (H3K27me3).
Highlights:
H3K27me3 indicates the trimethylation of lysine 27 on histone H3 protein, and is often associated with downregulation of nearby genes via the formation of heterochromatic regions. H3K4me3 is important for epigenetic studies, plays a role in DNA damage repair and is often found to interact with H3K4me3 in bivalent domains, commonly located in embryonic stem cells. These domains are essential for proper cell differentiation. Additionally, H3K4me3 may have some clinical significance in certain diseases such as the Cohen-Gibson syndrome.
