This hybridoma line produces a mouse anti-human phosphotyrosine monoclonal antibody (Py72).
Phosyphorylation is a common modification of proteins that can alter their function, such as protein-protein interaction, protein half- life and cellular localization. Specifically, phosphorylation of tyrosines has been shown to be part of oncogenic transformation, cell cycle and signal transduction during mitogenesis.
