This hybridoma line produces a rat anti-mouse CD90 monoclonal antibody (clone T24/31).
CD90, also known as Thy-1 membrane glycoprotein, is a glycoprotein anchored to the cell surface by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol motif. Expression of CD90 varies between species. In humans, it is expressed on mesenchymal, hematopoietic, and keratinocytic stem cells as well as on non-lymphoid tissues. CD90 plays a role in inflammation through cell-matrix and cell-cell adhesion between inflammtory mediators and also would healing through the release factors needed to repair damaged tissues.
