This hybridoma line produces a mouse anti-human HLA-DP monoclonal antibody (clone B7/21).
Humans have three different classical MHCII proteins, HLA-DP, HLA-DQ, and HLA-DR along with the nonclassical MHCII proteins HLA-DM and HLA-DO. Class II molecules are expressed by antigen presenting cells and have an alpha chain and a beta chain that form a groove for presenting an extracellular antigenic peptide to CD4+ T cells.
