This hybridoma line produces a mouse anti-human VCP monoclonal antibody (clone MARA 1.2).
Valosin-containing protein (VCP) is a member of the ATPase family of chaperone-like proteins that are involved in a variety of cellular processes. VCP acts within a network of proteins with the function of establishing and maintaining proteostasis. VCP plays an important role in human health with mutations in VCP being linked to the onset of neurodegeneration and other diseases.
