MV-R1 rho-0#3 Cell Line is a mt-DNA lacking cell derived from the parental MVR1 rat lung microvascular endothelium line by prolonged treatment with an inhibitor of mtDNA replication.

Highlights:

  • Lacks mitochondrial DNA (rho-θ, ρ)
  • Can be used as a recipient of mtDNA
  • May be useful for studies related to the oxidative phosphorylation system or the effects of different mtDNA mutations (as recipient mtDNA)
