Copper (II)-TBTA complex is a catalyst used for Click Chemistry conjugation reaction.
Please note that ascorbic acid or tris(carboxyethyl)phosphine addition is required to activate the catalyst. The active form of the catalyst contains copper(I). However, this form is air-sensitive, therefore the catalyst is available as copper(II). Reduction of Cu(II) is thus required. Ascorbic acid is the recommended reductant.
