This antibody was raised in rabbits against the p400 C-terminal peptide (SSDSPSQQPKLQMRVPAVRLKTPTKPP) and is recommended for detection of human p400 by Western blot.
E1A-binding protein p400 is a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histones H4 and H2A. p400 belongs to the SWI2/SNF2 family of ATPases and is found in two highly related chromatin remodelling complexes : the Tip60 and p400 complexes. It has been implicated in cell cycle control, apoptosis and development.
