This monoclonal antibody was generated against MBP-tagged BarX2 protein and recognizes human BarX2.
BarX2 is a tumor suppressor gene and member of the homeobox gene family. It encodes for a transcription factor that is thought to regulate the expression of neural adhesion molecules such as L1 or Ng-CAM during embryonic development. BarX2 also interacts with serum response factor (SRF) and is thought to play a role in cancer progression.
