Anti-Canarypox Virus [CNPV-5A11] Antibody

This mouse IgG2ak monoclonal antibody was raised against sucrose-gradient purified canarypox virus (CNPV) KP1 and recognizes CNPV or pigeonpox virus.

Highlights:

  • Recognizes CNPV or pigeonpox virus
  • Does not react with not fowlpox virus
  • Suitable for ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot applications

Canarypox virus (CNPV) is an Avipoxvirus and etiologic agent of canarypox, a disease of wild and captive birds that can cause significant losses. CNPV is considered a disease of songbirds for example, canaries, magpies and nightingales and is associated with higher mortality rates when compared to other avian pox viruses. The general symptoms of CNPV are similar to other species of avian pox viruses and are characterized by pustules and diphtheria or pneumonia like symptoms.
