Anti-ABCD2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against fusion protein and recognizes human, mouse and rat ATP Binding Cassette Subfamily D Member 2 (ABCD2).

Highlights:

  • Reacts with human, mouse and rat ABCD2
  • Suitable for Western Blot and Immunofluorescence and Immune Electron Microscopy applications

ABCD2 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies and this protein is a member of the ALD subfamily, which is involved in peroxisomal import of fatty acids and/or fatty acyl-CoAs in the organelle. Diseases associated with ABCD2 include Adrenoleukodystrophy and Demyelinating Disease.

Data

Immunofluorescence Microscopy and Immunoblot Analysis of D2 Protein in Cultured Cells.

(A) Cells were transfected with a plasmid containing a cDNA encoding mouse D2. Cells were processed for indirect immunofluorescence microscopy using the polyclonal D2 antibody. Inset: lysates from cells transfected with control plasmid (V) and D2 were analyzed by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting. (B) Total membranes were prepared from adipose collected from wild-type and D2-deficient (D2-/-) mice and analyzed by immunoblotting with the D2 antibody.
