This mouse monoclonal antibody was generated against protein and recognizes Nesprin-2.
Highlights:
Nesprins (nuclear envelope spectrin repeat proteins) are a family of proteins that are found primarily in the outer nuclear membrane, as well as other subcellular compartments. Nesprins are part of the LINC complex (Linker of Nucleoskeleton and Cytoskeleton) which is a protein network that associates the nuclear envelope (the membrane surrounding the nucleus) to the cytoskeleton, outside the nucleus, and the nuclear lamina, inside the nucleus.

Product Type: | Antibody |
Antigen: | Nesprin-2 |
Accession ID: | Q8NF91 |
Clonality: | Monoclonal |
Clone Name: | K20-478 |
Immunogen: | Protein - DNA fragments encoding the first 285 (6´His-ABD) and 459 amino acid residues (6´His-ABD-l) were obtained by PCR using fragment 2 as a template and inserted into pQE-30 (Qiagen). Recombinant proteins were induced by IPTG in E. coli M15[pREP4] and purified using a Ni-NTA agarose column according to the manufacturer (Qiagen). mAb K20-478 was produced by immunizing mice with the purified 6´His-ABD-l protein with ImmunEasy mouse adjuvant (Qiagen).
