These mouse IgG monoclonal antibodies were generated against human notch 3 (partial, amino acids 807-884) and recognize neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 3 (Notch 3).
Highlights:
Notch 3 protein is part of the Notch superfamily consisting of transmembrane proteins with repeated extracellular EGF domains and the notch domains. The Notch signaling network is an evolutionary conserved intercellular signaling pathway that regulates interactions between physically adjacent cells. It has shown to be involved in lateral inhibition in embryogenesis. Notch 3 is being investigated as a target for anti-cancer drugs, as it is overexpressed in several types of cancers.
