These IgG mouse monoclonal antibodies were produced against mouse c-terminal centromere binding protein F (CENP-F) and recognize human, mouse, dog and quail CENP-F.
Highlights:
C-terminal domain of centromere binding protein F associates with the centromere-kinetochore complex. The protein is a component of the nuclear matrix during the G2 phase of interphase. In late G2 the protein associates with the kinetochore and maintains this association through early anaphase. Shown to be involved in the regulation of DNA synthesis, cell cycle progression. Has a potential role regulating skeletal myogenesis and in cell differentiation in embryogenesis. Involved in dendritic cell regulation of T-cell immunity against chlamydia. Examination of the literature on CENP-F reveals great complexity in function, expression, and cellular localization in different cell types and different species.
