These mouse IgMk monoclonal antibodies were raised against a surface protein and recognize Pasteuria penetrans.
Highlights:
Pasteuria penetrans, a parasite of Meloidogyne, also known as root-knot nematodes (RKN). Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp) are an economically impacting plant parasite responsible for devastating agricultural losses throughout the world. Pasteuria penetrans infects RKN during the J2 juvenile stage, sterilizing the females. Thus, Pasteuria penetrans is considered a potential natural control of RKN. Pasteuria penetrans is an obligate parasite of Meloidogyne spp., and as such, does not affect other organisms or the environment.
